Email Communications

Summary
Outbound communications are now not only cheaper but also more frequent and of higher quality. We estimate that we are saving around $11000 per year and 88 person hours per year.

The Problem
Until the implementation of Member Manager our mass outbound communications were quite time consuming and expensive. For example, when sending a newsletter we needed to get the newsletter designed and converted into HTML code for sending. This process took several days and cost around $600 each time. We also had a send cost of around $80 per month and a system set up cost of around $1000. This process took us 3-4 days to manage.
Previously we struggled with data extraction and management. Now all of our data is held in the same place as the emails are sent from.

The Solution
Now we have individually designed and pre-built formats for our newsletters, which are hosted within Member Manager. This means that we can produce and send an unlimited number of outbound emails whenever and from wherever we need (sending from hotel bedrooms whilst at conferences has been known!)
Now costs are low we can send more communication pieces. And given the time saving, we can spend more time on writing content and less on management of contractors.
